CBET is crafted towards competence learning and equipping the students to meet the demands and needs of the job market. Additionally, CBET implementation will enable trainees to be job creators as their business minds will be developed. This will come in handy in eradicating the menace of job unemployment among the youths in the country.![]()

Nyandarua National Polytechnic is situated in a serene environment conducive for learning. It is located in Nyandarua county, 7kms from Nyahururu town, along Gilgil-Nyahururu Road and 37km from Olkalou town, the county headquarter.![]()

Nyandarua National Polytechnic as a Qualification Awarding Institution (QAI), has the mandate to develop, train and certify its own developed curricula. The Polytechnic offers Competency Based Education and Training (CBET) courses at various levels equivalent to artisan, craft/ certificate and diploma.These courses are examined by Nyandarua National Polytechnic NyNP and TVET- CDACC. The Polytechnic also offers KASNEB courses, government grade tests examined by NITA and is collaborating with ICDL to offer short courses in ICDL programmes. The Polytechnic is also accredited by the TVETA, NITA, KASNEB and NTSA as training institutions. Under the polytechnic status it is mandated to offer other courses including degrees in collaboration with accredited universities.![]()
